&lt;p&gt;Jim Kiriakis is a business generalist with operational experience in the
healthcare, education, investment management, and information technology
industries. He currently serves as Manager of the ICD, and supports Hematology
/Oncology, the UCSF Hellen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and
Radiology in diverse matters, including business development and contracting
associated with clinical trials, sponsored research, material transfers and
other collaborations with industry sponsors. Jim&amp;rsquo;s experience in business
development, contracting, management, sales, and customer service makes him a
key contributor to the organization. Mr. Kiriakis earned his degree in Economics
from UC Davis.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p id="dsy6195-DSY_irene"&gt;Irene Shin came to UCSF with over fifteen years of contract
negotiating experience as an attorney in the SF Bay Area. Before joining ICD,
she directed contracting on behalf of United Behavioral Health, a subsidiary of
United Health Group, a Fortune 100, health care company. In addition, Irene&amp;rsquo;s
prior experience includes serving as the General Counsel and Vice-President of
Operations for YellowPages.Com (later acquired by Bell South and AT&amp;amp;T),
Director of Operations and Finance at the Women&amp;rsquo;s&amp;rsquo; Technology Cluster, a
non-profit business incubator for women-led technology, biotechnology and social
entrepreneurial organizations, and as a real estate finance attorney with the
law firm of Goldfarb &amp;amp; Lipman. Irene&amp;rsquo;s community activities include
providing pro bono legal services and serving as a board member for the Asian
American Theater Company, Destination Foundation, and Smiley Dog Rescue. Irene
received her J.D. from King Hall, at UC Davis, and her B.A. in Philosophy from
UC Santa Cruz.&lt;/p&gt;

ICD. Erik Lium. She has been with the ICD since September of 1996 and with UCSF

&lt;p&gt;Kent Iwamiya joined the ICD in 2003 as an MTA Officer and then became an
Industry Contracts Officer in 2005.&amp;nbsp; He has a wide range of experience working
in industry from working at a start-up company, working on private and public
financings and on corporate securities filings.&amp;nbsp; Prior to joinging UCSF, Kent
worked at a software company where he negotiated marketing and software
licensing agreements, and at a biotech company where he managed and negotated
material transfer agreements, confidentiality agreements and clinical trial

&lt;p&gt;Mora came to the ICD from the University of California Office of Technology
Transfer (OTT), where she held several analyst positions in biotech,
pharmaceutical and agricultural licensing.&amp;nbsp; Before working at OTT, she served as
a patent administrator in the legal departments of several biotech companies,
and worked in the technology transfer office at teh America Red Cross.&amp;nbsp; Mora's
research experience includes molecular biology studies carried out at the Red
Cross and Rhone Poulenc Rorer, and contract expression in &lt;em&gt;E. coli&lt;/em&gt; at
Genex Corporation, as well as molecular biology and biochemistry studies at
Cornell, New York Medical College and the University of Pennsylvania.&amp;nbsp; Mora
holds a B.A. in Biology from Swarthmore College and is a Patent Agent registered
with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Thierry joined the ICD in June of 2007 as an Associate Industry Contracts
Officer. He manages the contracts of all industry-sponsored activities for the
Departments of Anesthesia &amp;amp; Perioperative Care, Medicine at SFGH, and
Pediatrics, as well as the School of Dentistry.&amp;nbsp; In this role, Thierry reviews,
drafts and negotiates a variety of contracts including clinical trial
agreements, sponsored research agreements, material transfer agreements, and
confidentiality agreements. He also manages ICD&amp;rsquo;s numerous master agreements
with industry partners and plays an active role in providing training and
guidance to ICD&amp;rsquo;s interns.&amp;nbsp; Previously, Thierry worked as a licensing intern at
the University of Utah from January 2006 through May 2007. Thierry holds a J.D.
from California Western School of Law and earned a B.S. in Biology from the
University of Utah.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Theresa joined the ICD in April of 2008 as an Associate Industry Contracts
Officer.&amp;nbsp; She earned her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from UCSF, studying in the
laboratory of James H. McKerrow.&amp;nbsp; Her graduate work involved studying the
function of cysteine proteases in &lt;em&gt;Trypanosoma brucei&lt;/em&gt;, the parasite that
causes African Sleeping Sickness. During graduate school, Theresa served as the
President of the Graduate Student&amp;rsquo;s Association at UCSF for two years and
participated in The National Academies Christine Mirzayan Science &amp;amp;
Technology Policy Fellowship Program in Washington, D.C. She received her B.A.
in Biology with a concentration in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from
Williams College.&lt;/p&gt;

completed her postdoctoral training at UCSF in the Department of Biochemistry

full-time UCSF employee in August of 2008.&amp;nbsp; Evleen manages the intake process
for new and amended industry-sponsored proposals, and also backs up Tiffany Dao
with awarding of agreements executed by the ICD.&amp;nbsp; Evleen&amp;rsquo;s diverse work history
includes administrative and IT positions held at financial firms such as Merrill
Lynch and Charles Schwab, as well as careers in real estate (as an agent and

set-up in the ICD electronic system and the Research Administration System (RAS)
(PeopleSoft-based).&amp;nbsp; She also manages the entry of data and creation of an award
summary document within RAS and the notification of campus personnel that the
proposal has been awarded. She earned her degree in Business-Office System at
San Francisco State University.&lt;/p&gt;
